Saddle Mountain Ranch & Lodge

Saddle Mountain Ranches consists of roughly 40,000 acres between several properties, a true Mountain Elk Hunt.

Accommodations in a 7 Bedroom Modern House centrally located near all of the properties, with a Cook on Staff!

This can be a very physically demanding hunt at times, however if you show up in good shape, keep a
level head, having prepared & practiced (archery / rifle), that will significantly help increase one’s success.

 We will utilize Trucks or Side by Side’s to reach our starting points, then will head out on foot from there.
Most days we will head back to the lodge or our “day camp” for a late breakfast / early lunch.
We usually hang out during the middle of the day staying out of the elks bedrooms or on
occasions may pack a lunch and spend the day on the side of a mountain somewhere.

This hunt is for averaged size bulls with the opportunity at respectable bulls.
Most Bulls taken range from Legal 3,4,5 Point bulls that will typically score 220 - 275”,
there is a possibility for 280 - 310, with a few 320 - 340+ herd bulls but isn’t the norm.

Only take 22 Hunters (10 Archery, 10 Rifle & 2 Muzzleloader) on this Property Annually.

All Bull Elk Hunts are priced as 2 Hunters with 1 Guide
For 1 Hunter with 1 Guide add an extra $1,000

Add Archery Whitetail for $3,500, only upon Wound or Harvest.
Add Archery or Rifle Black Bear for $2,500, only upon Wound or Harvest.

The Muzzy Hunt is 6 Days & 7 Nights
Guests can Pick 6 days during the 9 Day Season.
