Mule Deer & Whitetail Hunting in Big Sky Country
Operating on Private Land and the Bitterroot NF!
We have some of the best guides in the business who will do everything in their power to make sure you have a successful hunt. With that being said we cannot stress enough the importance of preparing yourself both mentally and physically before you arrive for your hunt. Arriving in good shape will make your hunt more enjoyable and successful. Our Montana hunts are predominantly spot and stalk type hunts, and can be physically demanding as every property we lease is slightly different in terrain. We have the ability to hunt on foot, from horseback, or 4x4 vehicles. The big boys don't live long by standing next to the road, so if you arrive in good shape and willing to put in some effort then you will have an excellent opportunity to come home with that buck of your dreams!
We typically start each morning fairly early, with a hearty breakfast, then we will load up and drive to a vantage point to start glassing up bucks from a distance. Once a buck is located, a game plan is made for how to best approach the deer and set up for a clear and clean shot. Our average shot distances with archery hunters is 30 - 60 yards and with rifle hunters is can range from 100 to 400 yards or even further. Please put the time in with your bow/rifle to make sure that you are comfortable out to those distances. With your rifle we highly recommend sighting your gun in for a 200 yard zero.
